About

The California Classified Labor Leaders Network was created to connect classified labor leaders across California’s community college districts.

Across our system, classified leaders often face many of the same challenges: compensation, staffing, job scope, classification structures, workplace change, member engagement, and the ongoing need to strengthen professional respect for classified employees. Too often, these efforts happen in isolation.

This network exists to create stronger statewide relationships, open communication, and practical collaboration among leaders doing this work every day.

We believe local organizations remain strongest when they have access to shared knowledge, trusted peers, used comparables, and a broader professional network.

The California Classified Labor Leaders Network is not a parent organization and does not replace any local union or association. Each district maintains its own autonomy, priorities, and decision-making.

Our purpose is simple:

• Connect classified labor leaders statewide
• Share ideas, strategies, and successful practices
• Exchange information on wages, classifications, and workplace    trends
• Support leadership development
• Build stronger collective capacity through collaboration

We are building a network grounded in professionalism, solidarity, and long-term vision for classified professionals across California community colleges.

Who We Serve

The California Classified Labor Leaders Network exists to support the leaders and representatives who advocate for classified professionals across California’s community college districts.

We serve:

  • Classified union presidents and executive leaders
  • Association officers and board members
  • Chief stewards and site representatives
  • Bargaining team members
  • Emerging labor leaders and future leaders
  • Classified employee advocates working to strengthen their organizations

Whether representing a large district or a small college community, every leader benefits from stronger connections, shared knowledge, and statewide collaboration.
